Creative Gift Wrapping Technique Even a Kid Can Do
This is the easiest yet creative gift wrapping technique anyone can do. Sometimes due to financial reason, you can only give 1 simple item and you may not want to spend extra money to have it professionally gift wrapped. So I’m going to share with you a simple gift wrapping technique to make it super special and pretty.
Gift wrapping supplies needed:
1. Colorful gift wrapping tissue or gift wrapping papers*
2. Tulle or any other see-through thin materials, preferably white or ecru*
3. Scissor
4. Measurement tape
5. Scotch Tape
6. Ribbons (any type) or strings or metallic twisty
Gift wrapping instructions:
1. Measure the height of your item; rule of thumb: place the beginning of measurement tape on the middle point of your item’s base, and then bring it all the way up to the highest tip of your item. Write it down on a piece of scrap paper or try to remember it
2. Lay out the gift wrapping tissue paper on a flat surface, measure and cut out the size equal to 1 2/3 of the measurement you took of your item.
3. Do the same with the tulle, but you need only 1 1/2 of the measurement of your item.
4. Find the middle point of the gift wrapping tissue paper and place your item on top of it. Take the 2 opposite corners of the tissue paper and pull it up toward each other enclosing the gift; then do the same with the other 2 sides one by one. When the gift is totally enclosed within the paper, smooth out the paper making sure all surface of the item is covered. Hold tight the paper by gently twisting them right on top of the item, then use scotch tape to secure the paper.
5. Finally, place the tulle on the table, find the middle point as well and place the paper-wrapped gift in the center. Then do the same with the tulle as in step 4. However, this time you want to use the ribbon or metallic twist to secure it. As the final gift wrapping touch and to personalize your gift, you can place a gift tag or a small decoration on the ribbon before making the final bow.
* For special occasion, the color of the paper and the material can compliment each other e.g., brown with pink accent paper together with soft pink material for Valentine’s Day, and red and green for Christmas.
I hope you agree that this is the easiest yet creative gift wrapping technique anyone can do.
